The Bonney Group and Caltas have supported many charities , along with a number of sporting events and local sponsorships. These include Red Nose Day, Circus Quirkus Children's Charity, Whitelion, Lock Up Your Boss Day and various others.
Relay for Life
Relay for Life is the major fundraising event supported by both the Bonney Group and its employees. Employees raise funds throughout the year by various fundraising activities, with the year culminating in the 24 hour walk at the Penguin Sports Complex. The Bonney Group matches each dollar raised by employees and to date the total contribution towards Relay for Life exceeds $38,000.
Breast Cancer Awareness
Caltas has been a major sponsor of the Think Pink Ball which is a gala fundraising event to raise funds towards breast cancer awareness.
Starlight Children's Foundation
Caltas recently sponsored this charity by matching staff fundraising dollar for dollar. Caltex Australia is a major supporter of the
Starlight Childrens Foundation and provides assistance for the foundation's dedication to helping brighten the lives of seriously ill children through wish granting, Starlight express rooms and more.
Caltex supports the work of the Starlight Foundation through sponsorship of the national Star Day campaign and assisting in wish granting and fundraising for the organisation at a national and local level.
Lock Up Your Boss Day
Our esteemed leader, Philip Molineux, was arrested for "Lock Up Your Boss Day." The local police arrived at the office with lights flashing and sirens blaring. Fortunately for Phil, he was able to raise the requested bail and was later released from custody. Phil managed to raise in excess of $4,000 for the Heart Foundation Charity.
Other major charities supported by the Group include the Moonbeam Children's Charity and the Salvation Army Christmas Appeal.
