Caltas commenced operations in March 1992 when Mr Byron Bonney recognised the synergies of creating a stronger business by acquiring the three Caltex distributorships in Northern Tasmania (LN Petroleum, Tasmanian Petroleum Holdings and Coastal Petroleum) and merging them into one.

Through Mr Bonney's vision, Caltas is now recognised as one of the largest privately owned and most professional Caltex distributorships within Australia. It is proudly Tasmanian and the largest independent fuel distributor within the state.

The Byron Bonney Group also includes Lloyds North , which provides a range of logistic services to a variety of industry sectors.
