Caltas was a recent entry in the Best Solution to an Identified Workplace Health and Safety Issue in the 2008 Workcover Safety Awards.
A storage and transport container for an oil pump was specially designed and manufactured to capture any oil spills during the transfer of bulk oil into smaller containers on customer sites.Caltas has recently introduced a GPS tracking and vehicle diagnostics monitoring and reporting system into their fleet of fuel trucks.
The TOMR System consists of on-board computers, telematics solutions, equipment monitoring and diagnostics services. This will show vehicle location, journey details, etc., enabling our scheduling department to maintain prompt and efficient delivery services to our customer base.
Caltas has always been an industry leader and in recent months has appointed the first female delivery driver in the Tasmanian fuel industry, Kerri Connors. This is a reflection of our commitment to equal opportunity in the workplace.
Kerri is held in high regard by her male counterparts and Caltas has already received many compliments from customers on her professionalism and high level of performance, which she demonstrates in her daily work.
Caltas is recognised as being one of the largest and most professional Caltex Distributorships throughout Australia. The company is Tasmanian owned and is the largest independent fuel distributor within the State, supplying a varied range of Caltex products including refined oils and lubricants throughout Northern Tasmania.
